Getting started with PepVitaRx
PepVitaRx is a telehealth platform that connects patients with licensed medical providers who specialize in compounded peptide therapy. We handle the intake process, provider review, and pharmacy coordination so you can focus on your health goals. We are currently building our waitlist ahead of the FDA advisory panel in July 2026.
Our initial formulary includes BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound), Thymosin Alpha-1, TB-500, and Semax. BPC-157 and Thymosin Alpha-1 are under FDA advisory review in July 2026. TB-500 targets systemic tissue regeneration and chronic inflammation. Semax is available as a cognitive performance option. All compounds are prepared by PCAB-accredited compounding pharmacies.
Four steps. First, complete the free online assessment, which takes about 10 minutes with no commitment. Second, a licensed provider reviews your intake within 48 hours. Third, if approved, your compounded peptide is prepared by a PCAB-accredited pharmacy. Fourth, it ships directly to your door. You pay nothing until your provider approves your prescription.
Most patients complete it in 8 to 12 minutes. It covers your health goals, medical history, current medications, and basic biometrics like blood pressure and resting heart rate. Everything is reviewed by a licensed provider. It is not an automated algorithm.
No. Joining the waitlist and completing the assessment is completely free. You only pay when your provider approves your prescription and you choose to proceed with treatment.
Safety, eligibility, and side effects
Eligibility is determined by your provider after reviewing your intake. Generally, good candidates are adults 18 or older with no disqualifying health conditions. Your provider will review your full health history before making any clinical decision. PepVitaRx never guarantees a prescription. That decision belongs entirely to your licensed provider.
Certain conditions require your provider to decline treatment out of caution. These include end-stage kidney or liver disease, active cancer or remission of less than 5 years, history of organ transplant on anti-rejection medication, severe gastrointestinal conditions like gastroparesis, current substance use disorder, and current suicidal ideation. If any of these apply to you, our intake process will identify them and communicate clearly rather than leaving you without an answer.
All peptides dispensed through PepVitaRx are compounded by PCAB-accredited pharmacies, which is the highest quality standard in compounding. PCAB accreditation means the pharmacy undergoes rigorous third-party audits for sterility, potency, and quality. Your provider will also review your health history for any contraindications before approving a prescription.
BPC-157 has been studied extensively in preclinical research. The most commonly reported effects in human use are mild injection site reactions such as minor redness or soreness. Some patients report temporary nausea, particularly at higher doses. Serious adverse events are rare. Your provider will discuss the full risk and benefit profile with you before prescribing.
Thymosin Alpha-1 is generally well tolerated. The most common side effect is mild injection site discomfort. Some patients report temporary flu-like symptoms in the first few days as the immune system responds. Your provider will review your individual health profile before making any prescribing decision.
TB-500 is still under regulatory review and is not currently available through PepVitaRx. Reported concerns for peptides in this category include injection site reactions, immune response, product purity concerns, and limited human safety data. If TB-500 becomes legally available through appropriate compounding channels, your provider will review your health history, medications, and goals before determining whether it is appropriate for you.
Semax is being monitored as a cognitive performance peptide option, but availability depends on legal and regulatory review. Reported effects may include nasal or injection site irritation depending on the route, headache, restlessness, or sleep disruption. Because human safety data and legal availability are limited in the United States, PepVitaRx will only offer Semax if it can be sourced through compliant pharmacy channels and approved by a licensed provider.
Most peptide protocols involve subcutaneous injection, which is a small needle just under the skin similar to an insulin injection. Your provider and pharmacy will provide full instructions. Some patients find this manageable with minimal practice. If self-injection is a concern, discuss it during your intake and your provider can note it.
FDA regulations and legal status
Yes, with an important nuance. Compounded peptides prescribed by a licensed provider and prepared by a 503A compounding pharmacy are legal under current federal law. However, the FDA placed 19 peptides including BPC-157 and Thymosin Alpha-1 into Category 2 in 2023, which restricts compounding. An FDA advisory panel is scheduled for July 23-24, 2026 to review these peptides for restoration to Category 1, which would restore full compounding access. PepVitaRx is building its platform in preparation for that outcome.
The FDA Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet July 23-24, 2026 to review 7 peptides including BPC-157 and Thymosin Alpha-1 for restoration to Category 1. Category 1 means compounding pharmacies can legally produce them on a patient-specific basis. A favorable outcome would allow PepVitaRx to begin serving patients immediately. A second panel meeting is expected before February 2027 to review additional peptides.
If the panel does not restore BPC-157 or Thymosin Alpha-1 to Category 1, PepVitaRx will not proceed with those compounds. Waitlist members will be notified promptly and will not be charged. We will monitor the regulatory landscape and communicate any updates directly to the waitlist.
A 503A pharmacy is a state-regulated compounding pharmacy that prepares medications on a patient-specific basis from a valid prescription. They operate under state pharmacy board oversight. PepVitaRx partners only with 503A pharmacies that hold PCAB accreditation and LegitScript certification, which are the same standards used by the leading telehealth platforms.
PCAB stands for Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board. It is an independent accreditation body that certifies compounding pharmacies meeting rigorous standards for sterility, potency testing, facility quality, and pharmacist training. Not all compounding pharmacies are PCAB-accredited. PepVitaRx requires it from all pharmacy partners.

How the process works
After you submit your intake, a licensed provider, either a physician or nurse practitioner, reviews your full health history, medications, biometrics, and goals. They make an independent clinical decision. PepVitaRx does not influence, incentivize, or override provider decisions. Most reviews are completed within 48 hours.
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound) is primarily used for tissue repair, gut health, joint recovery, and inflammation reduction. It is most popular among athletes, post-surgical patients, and people with chronic gut issues. Thymosin Alpha-1 is an immune-modulating peptide used for immune system optimization, post-illness recovery, and longevity support. During your assessment, your answers help your provider determine which peptide is the stronger fit for your goals.
Your compounded peptide is prepared by a PCAB-accredited pharmacy and shipped directly to your home in temperature-appropriate packaging with free tracked shipping. Most orders arrive within 5 to 7 business days of pharmacy dispatch.
Yes. All PepVitaRx plans include unlimited provider consultations. If you have questions about your protocol, experience unexpected effects, or want to adjust your dosage, you can message your provider through the patient portal.
